When you purchase the program you will be mailed a more detailed certificate of insurance, which will explain authoritatively what the benefits are and how you can claim them in your state. Travel Emergencies

Much of the money you pay towards your travel plans is non-refundable. If your plans change late in the process for whatever reason, especially in the middle of a trip, you will find that you need to make immediate changes that will cost much more than packages put together for you. If you cannot travel you may not be able to recover your expenditures. Airlines and other travel providers do not usually offer special favors to victims of personal emergencies, which is the reason that we offer this travel insurance program.

What are sorts of emergencies can spoil your plans? Has this happened to you?

  • You get so sick that you cannot start your travel (Travel Cancellation), or have to cut your trip short (Travel Interruption and Emergency Medical Care);
  • Someone in your or her family dies, or gets seriously ill and needs your personal care;
  • Terrorists unleash violence in a foreign city to which you were scheduled to arrive;
  • Labor disputes result in the complete cessation of travel services, leaving you stranded;
  • Your home is burned, vandalized, flooded, or has a tree fall over it in a storm;
  • You are subpoenaed, or called to serve on a jury;
  • You experience major delays en route due to airline issues, or weather conditions, lost or stolen passports, travel documents or your money;
  • Your airline loses your bags (Baggage Loss) or delays them (Baggage Delay) to such an extent that you run out of clothes and have to buy additional ones;
  • A car that you rented is badly damaged.

Benefits of the program

The program offers two kinds of benefits, and they are described separately. The first kind is called a “coverage” and it pays you money for your losses. The second kind is called a “service” and it does not pay you. Instead, the 24-Hour Emergency Hotline coordinates the delivery of services to you based on the requests you make.

Who can be covered

The person(s) traveling under this coverage must have resided in the U.S. or Canada for at least the last six (6) months.
